Life After Strabismus

Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 19, 2026

Life After Strabismus ("this site", "I") respects your privacy. This page explains what data is collected when you use the site and what happens to it.

What I collect and why

Analytics

This site uses Google Analytics 4 to understand which articles help people most (pages visited, approximate location, device type). IP addresses are anonymized. Analytics data is aggregated and never used to identify you personally. You can block analytics with any standard content blocker or your browser's settings, and the site works exactly the same.

Contact form

If you use the contact form, the name, email address, and message you provide are processed by Netlify Forms (the site's hosting provider) and forwarded to my email. I use them only to reply to you and never share or sell them.

Consultation bookings

Bookings are handled by Calendly. When you book, Calendly collects the information you enter (name, email, and anything you write in the booking notes) under Calendly's own privacy policy. Please do not include detailed medical records in booking notes, a sentence or two of context is plenty.

What I never do

  • Sell or rent your data to anyone
  • Send marketing emails without your explicit consent
  • Store medical information about you

Cookies

The site itself sets no tracking cookies. Google Analytics and the embedded Calendly widget may set their own cookies as described in their respective privacy policies. The interactive tools (like the surgery prep checklist) store your progress only in your own browser's local storage, that data never leaves your device.

Your rights

Depending on where you live (GDPR, CCPA, and similar laws), you may have the right to access, correct, or delete personal data I hold about you, in practice, that's limited to emails you've sent me. Email fadelstrabismus@gmail.com and I'll take care of it.

Changes

If this policy changes, the date at the top of this page will be updated. Significant changes will be noted on the homepage.
